Three words to describe the concert: fun, fun, fun. What an energetic performance it was. You could dance along, they are dancing along. And that’s what Bernie’s Lounge offered last night for the Utrecht Jazz Festival.

Completely in a different style than Brötzmann et.al., It was amazing to see the atmosphere of the concert. Although you never heard their music or their name before, you will easily be amused. It was really an entertaining set. I wonder why I haven’t heard of them before. Maybe because their base is in Amsterdam, but I sure was happy to have the opportunity to shoot them in this Festival.

Apparently Nikon D80 performs better when you set everything to manual. Compare to the shooting of Sénsual which used the same venue and lighting, the photos delivered by manually exposure setting are way better. The measurement is more accurate and I can easily use a more noise friendly ISO 1250. Thus, no need for noise ninja in the post processing.
