Coming all the way from Chicago, the quartet delivered a soulful performance on the third day of the Utrecht Jazz Festival. Their composition sounds somehow blues to me. Sometimes it seemed they don’t belong together but certainly right on. So you can certainly enjoyed the powerful solo and improvised collaboration.
As the third night of the Festival, the show started a bit slow. There were not many audience when the quartet started playing. But, slowly but sure the sits began to fill up with what it seems to be a hard core jazz fans.

The set is the same as last week, so there is actually not much to say. I used the same setting, ISO 1250, f 1-6-2-2 and speed 1/80-1/125. I was quite lucky to be able to sit in the front row, considering, there was not much possibility to move around the stage. So I just decided to play around with my composition.
