Some call her music indi-rock, others call it folk, but when I listen to her concert, I can’t really describe it. Neverthelles, as the opening act for Alela Diane, Mariee Sioux is simply a talented guitarist and musician who is able to sooth your soul away to the valleys of California.

The lighting of Tivoli De Helling was set rather dark during the opening act of ‘de avond van kippenvel” or a night of the goosebump, leaving me to stay on ISO 1600 and maximum aperture with 1/50-1/60 speed all the time.  But a slow speed was not a problem at all considering the nature of the show.

It was difficult to find a good shooting place, the venue was packed and shooting between the fans was not completely comfortable. I felt so guilty each time I pressed the shutter, I never realised that the sound is actually so hard. I hope they don’t get annoyed so much.
