One thing that makes music photography so great is that I can discover new bands, new faces, and new tunes during my work. Being able to see Scouting for Girls is one of those things. This band might be already famous in their home country, UK, but to me the name was so unfamiliar till I did some little research (involving some googlings) before I went to Ekko to photograph their show.
Turned out that I enjoyed their music. I already expected it when I listened to their music on their website, but in live it was even better. In fact, I put on their song ‘I need a holliday’, with which they opened their concert, for the whole day. I just can’t stop listening to it.

On the contrary to such an enjoyable concert, the lighting at Ekko was kept very modest. Blue is the main color, and red comes every now and then, usually during the up beat music so it was difficult for me to capture the emotion during those moments.
