Summer Darkness is said to be one of the biggest gothic festivals in Europe. It started small in 2004 and now they even have a ‘winter’ edition. Besides music the festival also catered its fans with some outdoor activities, fashion shows and a special gothic market.
I had the opportunity to photograph 3 out of 5 days of the event. On the third day, Spiritual Front, Sieben and Orfeo performed in Ekko with some mild and yet perfect mixtures of middle age feelings and alternative rock.
I’ve been wanting to promote this short film for a long time. It was written, directed and shot by my talented friend Wahyuningrat. I think it’s really good. And if you happen to know any festivals in Utrecht that could welcome or screen it, please let me know.
